I don't typically do painting studies, or paint on a small scale, but I did this as an experiment. I had trouble getting my trademark painting style to work, the lack of drips and runs. I think it is an interesting one off painting. I might do more small scale works in the future, but i do find it limiting and confining. In a way, i feel i struggled to express myself fully on this scale.
