The last painting completed in Goldsboro, NC. I took an old painting I had made in undergrad at ECU that I was never really happy with and reworked it. I never really felt the painting was finished, and I don't think I had the ability to really make the painting I wanted to make. In reworking I revisited my pure abstract approach. I find this approach to be  somewhat meditative, but also puts my brain in the sphere of problem solving.

I don't typically do painting studies, or paint on a small scale, but I did this as an experiment. I had trouble getting my trademark painting style to work, the lack of drips and runs. I think it is an interesting one off painting. I might do more small scale works in the future, but i do find it limiting and confining. In a way, i feel i struggled to express myself fully on this scale.
