Just a few drawings to whet your appetite. This show is one of the largest single projects I've worked on and I will have much more on display at the show. They will be for sale as well. Contact me if you are interested but won't be able to attend the opening.

Two new nudes

     I've been working on several projects for the last couple of months including these large nudes, a few other paintings, a series of ink drawings and an album cover for the double vinyl retrospective of my old band Art Lord & the Self Portraits. I'll post more as things develope.

True Nature, series 1

 This is a series of drawings from a small sketchbook. It's animal heads on human bodies. I think all too often, people get wrapped up and absorbed in their lives and forget that we are animals too.

  So here are some manimals.

Eric Fischl

 I first learned of Eric Fischl in my first semester of art school in Modern Art History at South Western Oklahoma University. His work often seems like stills from films, imbued with life's stories and mysteries. His ablity to use light and shadow are simply fantastic.

My painting "Hyperbole of Sleep" was selected for the 33rd Annual Wayne County Arts Council's Juried Art Show and was voted People's Choice favorite.

Euan Uglow (1932-2000)

Euan Uglow is sadly not a household name. He is now gaining some acclaim for his landscapes, still lifes, and figure work. I have only recently discovered this late British artist works but they have captivated me. I find his work subtle, complex, and evocotive.

        After I graduated from college in 2007, I took a break from painting.  I did a couple of paintings in 2008, but only this George Washington portrait (based off of the quater) did I think had any merit. The second was an attempt at a minimalistic paintings style.
