Work In Progress, Jan. 31, 2014

   After a few days off due to snow, I returned to the studio to continue working on my current new painting. I did not experience the anxiety I had earlier in the week and just slipped back into my process. It feels natural and still very challenging and rewarding. The work flowed and the painting continues to build itself layer by layer.

Work In Progress, Jan. 27, 2014

    After a short hiatus from painting, I was able to get back in the studio this week and begun work on a new painting. These are images from the first day back in studio. I was nervous about getting back to work for some reason. I don't know where the anxiety came from, but as I began to work, it went away. I was very pleased that the work went well, and the painting started taking life.

Visual Art Exchange's Contemporary South Opening, Jan. 3, 2014

 Some photos from the Visual Art Exchange's Contemporary South show in Raleigh, NC. The opening was Jan. 3rd, 2014. The VAE is a really cool art space. I thought the show was full of great art and was presented very well. It was a cold night but seemed to have a good turn out.
